DIRECT HIGH SPEED CONNECTION FROM CHIP SITE TO IO PORT
SFP OverPass™ products remove high speed signaling from the PCB and create a direct connection between the ASIC site and the external IO port by overpassing the PCB. SheerPwr® Circular is a high-current, low-resistance interface, designed for applications connecting busbars-to-busbars/boards & BTB. It uses a robust and compliant power contact, assembled in a circular orientation. This forms a power socket, designed to mate with traditional machined pins, which provides repeated low resistance, high misalignment tolerance & high current carrying capabilities.
These contacts are required for high-frequency interconnection. High-speed Coax contacts within a connector provide shielding protection in order to eliminate interferences from outside electrical sources, and in many cases, the RF/Microwave performance needed in the circuitry of many applications.
