Mechanical Guidance Modules
Guidance modules assure proper connector alignment prior to connector engagement and are suitable for backplane, coplanar, or orthogonal midplane applications in Hard Metric environments. Modules fitting 20mm slot pitch complement AirMax® 4-Pair or 5-Pair modules or ZipLine 6-Pair signal modules.

Metal Injection Molding
Amphenol produces high-quality parts with over 90% metal density through our metal injection molding (MIM) process. The MIM process provides greater flexibility in design complexity, prevents corrosion, and provides a resistant polish. The MIM process is used on components of various applications including mobile phones, laptops, and industrial and automotive platforms.
Metral® Accessories
FCI Basics Metral® accessories are compatible with Metral® 2mm Board-to-Board and Board-to-Cable connector systems. These are comprised of shrouds, coding keys, and guiding systems. These enhance the usability and flexibility of Metral® connectors that are designed according to Futurebus+ standards.
Metral® Board Connectors
FCI Basics Metral® product offers the broadest range of backplane connector solutions which includes RA and vertical for both header and receptacle series. The connectors are designed in accordance with IEC 61076-4-104 and Telcordia GR-1217- CORE. Metral® backplane connectors meet Futurebus+ standards to support applications in data, industrial and instrumentation, medical and telecom markets.
Metral® Cable Connectors
Metral® 2mm pitch cable connector meets the Board-to-Cable interface requirements and is part of the Metral® product family offering the widest range of backplane connector solutions. The connector is designed in accordance with IEC 61076-4-104 and Telcordia™ GR-1217-CORE. Metral® cable connector is available in 4 and 5 row versions. They come in single and multi-module configurations.
