Radio Frequency Connectors
HN-Type Connector Series
HN-Type product series features medium-sized, weatherproof units designed for high voltage applications. These connectors feature captivated contact design which prevents contact recession under extreme temperatures and mechanical stresses.
LiteTouch Solderless PCB Connectors
SV now offers a complete line of high frequency coaxial / surface mount PCB connectors that meet the industry need for high performing, highly reliable solderless connectors for precision thin substrate mounting. As frequencies increase and board substrates become thinner, the standard solderless PCB compression mount connectors can create undesirable results on thin (< .010”) dielectric PCB.
Low Profile Solderless PCB Edge Launch Connectors
SV’s new low profile RF solderless edge launch connectors are ideal for high frequency PCB applications. These rugged and reusable connectors occupy a smaller footprint on your board with a flange that is 30% smaller than the standard. Able to accommodate multiple PCB thicknesses, these connectors do not damage your board. Available in SMA, 2.92mm, 2.4mm and 1.85mm series.
LTI Connector
SV Microwave has developed a new RF series that re-imagines the design of our proprietary LiteTouch product line to create an easy-to-clean exposed interface in a familiar SMA-sized form factor. Our LTI (LiteTouch Interface) product line includes cable connectors for both Ø.047” and Ø.085” cable types and panel mount adapters that are IP67-rated in the unmated condition and easily wiped down.
Male Solderless PCB Connectors
SV Microwave’s high speed RF/coaxial solderless male edge launch and compression mount connectors are ideal for high frequency PCB applications where precision is key. These rugged, durable and reuseable connectors accommodate multiple PCB thicknesses and do not cause damage to the printed circuit board. Current interface configurations include high frequency SMA, 2.92mm, 2.4mm and 1.85mm series.
MCX Connector Series
The MCX (Micro Coaxial) series is a 50 Ω series with broadband capability ranging from DC to 6 GHz. In addition, the MCX series features secure, fast and easy snap-on/ snap-off coupling.
MHV Connector Series
MHV (Miniature High Voltage) connectors are bayonet locking interconnects used for high voltage applications up to 5000 volts. They are similar in size, but not designed to mate with the BNC interface.
Micro-Miniature (SMPM / SMPS) RF Terminations
Amphenol SV Microwave’s subminiature RF/coaxial terminations are installed at the end of a bus or transmission line to prevent signals from reflecting back. These devices are used to prevent electrical interference and are available in ½ watt power handling.
Micro-mini (SMP/SMPM) Solderless PCB Connectors
SV Microwave’s extreme frequency subminiature RF/coaxial push-on solderless PCB compression mount connectors are ideal for high frequency printed circuit board applications where precision and density are key. Our solderless application makes assembly fast, easy and without damaging the PCB board. Current miniature interface configurations include our SMP and SMPM series.
Mini-BNC Connectors
The Mini BNC product series offers the high performance and wide compatibility of the original Amphenol 75 Ω BNCs. However, the Mini-BNC has a higher connector density. Specifically, 40% more interconnects in the same area.
Mini-SMB Connector Series
Amphenol's Mini-SMB 75 Ohm connector family provides broadband capability through 2 GHz. Its snap-on design offers a quick connect/disconnect and utilizes die-cast components in non-critical areas to provide a low-cost solution.
Mini-UHF Connector Series
Miniature versions of UHF connectors, Mini-UHF connectors are designed for applications where size, weight, and cost factors are critical. With a miniature 3/8-24 thread size, these connectors provide excellent RF performance for applications up to 2.5 GHz.
Mixed Signal Harnesses
SV can support mixed-signal harnesses that include:
1. Digital
2. Quadrax
3. Power
4. RF/optical combinations
MMCX Connector Series
The MMCX (Micro-Miniature Coaxial) product series is a micro-miniature version of the MCX. It has the all features of the MCX series, including 50 Ω impedance with a broadband capability of DC to 6 GHz and secure, fast and easy snap-on/ snap-off coupling, and a wide range of available connectors. However, MMCX connectors have a smaller footprint than the MCX series.
Non-Magnetic RF Connectors
Non-magnetic coaxial connectors are used to carry 50 ohm RF signals within the magnetic field of MRI equipment where a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is required.
N-Type Connector Series
N-Type connectors are designed to satisfy the need for a durable, weatherproof, medium-size RF connector with consistent performance through 11 GHz. Our N-Type connectors feature threaded coupling mechanisms and are fully interchangeable with N-Type connectors made to the MIL-C-39012 specification. These connectors are used in all systems where excellent RF and mechanical performance is critical.
Precision Test Cables
Amphenol RF offers pre-configured RF test cables designed for high-performance applications requiring minimal insertion and return loss. They are ideal for test and measurement applications and each assembly is tested to ensure electrical and mechanical performance.
Pre-Tinned (De-Golded) Capabilities
SV Microwave has developed a unique and proprietary method for removing gold in the solder area of our RF connectors. We plan for gold removal in the design stage, modifying the connector body so it can be fixtured effectively and gold can be thoroughly removed from the solderable area - including nearby areas which may be prone to capillary effect wicking.
Pre-Tinned (De-Golded) PCB Connectors
SV Microwave's new pre-tinned PCB connectors are available in our proven high-performance, high-density SMP and SMPM series. SV Microwave has developed a unique and proprietary method for removing gold in the solder area of our RF connectors. These connectors are designed to work with our automated de-golding process, which mitigates undesirable remnants of gold plating in the solder joint.
Process Capabilities
We support the full spectrum of equipment necessary to design, assemble and test your harnesses, from basic hand tools to semi-automated equipment, including:
1. Automated wire cutting and stripping
2. Certified Solder Technicians (IPC/J-STD-001S)
3. Wire/cable bundling
4. Over-braiding (fiber and wire)
